Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Chemical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of chemical processes and be adept at problem-solving to enhance production efficiency and safety. You will play a vital role in the development and optimisation of our chemical processes.

Responsibilities

• Design new chemical processes and refine existing ones.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure product quality.
• Lead projects aimed at improving production capacity and efficiency.
• Conduct experiments and pilot tests to validate new processes.
• Assist in the training of junior engineers and technicians.
• Engage with suppliers to procure necessary materials and equipment.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments for proposed processes.
• Document all findings and improvements in a clear and structured manner.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in petrochemical or industrial processes

Languages

• English: Fluent
