Clinical Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to enhance our pharmacy services in Gqeberha. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess patient medication regimens, provide drug information, and counsel patients. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring high-quality care and improving the overall health status of our patients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient medication profiles and collaborate with the healthcare team for effective therapy.
• Counsel patients about their medications, including indications and side effects.
• Monitor patient's medication adherence and therapeutic outcomes.
• Assist in the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Conduct drug utilization reviews and implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and support for pharmacy interns and technicians.
• Participate in clinical rounds and contribute to patient care discussions.
• Review new medications and therapeutic options for formulary considerations.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualifications in clinical pharmacy preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a clinical pharmacy setting

Certifications

• Pharmacy Registration with SAPC
