Software Tester

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Software Tester to join our vibrant team in Durban. This role involves executing test plans, identifying software defects, and collaborating with developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of software testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional, performance, and load testing.
• Provide feedback and suggestions on software usability.
• Work closely with QA Manager to improve testing processes.
• Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools and techniques.
• Train and support junior testers when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Advanced certifications in software testing are preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance testing

• Test Automation Frameworks
• Performance Testing

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified Software Tester (CSTE)
• Agile Certified Tester (ACT)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in a tech startup: Experience working in fast-paced environments, ideally within tech startups.
• Familiarity with mobile testing: Experience in mobile application testing on both Android and iOS platforms.
