Senior Actuarial Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our team in Sandton. In this role, you will apply your actuarial expertise to analyse risk, develop models, and assist with strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in actuarial modelling, strong analytical skills, and a passion for data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends and inform strategic decision-making.
• Create and validate predictive models that contribute to risk assessments.
• Prepare and present findings to management with actionable insights.
• Collaborate with finance and risk management teams to ensure alignment of objectives.
• Stay abreast of new actuarial software and tools to enhance analysis capabilities.
• Support the regulatory reporting process by ensuring compliance with standards.
• Participate in meetings with clients to discuss data-driven recommendations.
• Assist in the assessment of new products and services through actuarial evaluation.
• Manage multiple projects and ensure timely delivery of analyses.
• Develop documentation and technical reports on actuarial methodologies and findings.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Actuarial Science or related field is advantageous

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in actuarial roles, preferably in life insurance or pension sectors

Certifications

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)

Languages
