Laser Technician

Job Description

The Laser Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining laser equipment used in cutting, welding, and engraving processes. They will troubleshoot technical issues and ensure optimal functioning of the equipment, collaborating with design and production teams to develop new products.

Responsibilities

• Set up laser machines for various production tasks.
• Monitor equipment during production to ensure quality standards.
• Document and report on maintenance activities and repairs.
• Develop new techniques for laser engraving and cutting.
• Engage in continuous improvement practices to streamline operations.
• Support production teams in achieving project deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Work closely with the R&D team for new product development.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (advantageous)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in operating and maintaining laser equipment

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with CNC machines: Familiarity with CNC technology is an advantage.
