Job Description

We are seeking a skilled General Practitioner to join our vibrant team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services and managing a diverse patient population. You will play a crucial role in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illnesses, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with diverse backgrounds and needs.
• Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient progress and ensure efficient communication with the healthcare team.
• Facilitate access to appropriate healthcare services for patients.
• Advise on public health issues and community health programs.
• Engage with patients and families to provide emotional support and education.
• Participate in research and clinical trials where applicable.
• Contribute to improving practice systems and processes.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate qualifications in Family Medicine or related field preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in general practice with leadership roles preferred

Certifications

• Diploma in Family Medicine
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
