Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer based in Cape Town, you will oversee the design and implementation of electrical systems for a range of projects. Our ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, along with a commitment to innovation and sustainable engineering practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop structural solutions that are cost-effective and sustainable.
  • Work closely with project managers to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Complex problem-solving in structural integrity and design optimization.
  • Optimize structural designs for performance and efficiency.
  • Document all calculations, designs, and changes comprehensively.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, especially in building projects
Technical Skills
  • Revit
  • SAP2000
Soft Skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective communication
Certifications
  • Professional Engineer (PrEng) Registration
  • Safety Management Certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience with building information modeling (BIM): Hands-on experience with BIM technologies for collaborative project delivery.
  • Knowledge of earthquake risk assessment: Ability to assess and mitigate risks related to seismic activity.
