Clinical Psychologist

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will provide psychological assessments, therapy, and support to individuals facing mental health challenges. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create holistic treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' mental health needs through interviews and psychological assessments.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote mental well-being.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
• Participate in case conferences and contribute to peer supervision.
• Create mental health awareness programs within the community.
• Provide expert consultation and guidance to non-clinical staff.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Allied Field
• Additional therapeutic certifications are a plus

Experience

• At least 4 years experience working in mental health

Technical Skills

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Family Therapy

Soft Skills

• Conflict Resolution
• Adaptability

Certifications

• HPCSA Registration
• Certification in Couple's Therapy

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in community mental health settings: Prior work in community mental health to understand diverse client needs.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms: Knowledge of online therapy delivery methods.
