Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Port Elizabeth office. You will be involved in all phases of civil engineering projects, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets and resources effectively.
• Utilize engineering software for project design and analysis.
• Support junior engineers and interns in their professional development.
• Prepare technical drawings and plans.
• Conduct feasibility studies for proposed projects.
• Attend project meetings to discuss timelines and milestones.
• Perform soil and material testing to inform design decisions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in a civil engineering role

Technical Skills

• Civil Software (e.g., Civil 3D)
• Environmental Engineer

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Construction Project Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Knowledge of alternative building materials: Understanding sustainable materials and construction techniques.
