As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Nurse Mentor will focus on supporting nursing students through their clinical placements, ensuring they gain the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence. Your mentorship will be key to their professional development and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Mentor nursing students effectively, ensuring they meet competencies.
• Create training materials that are relevant and beneficial for students.
• Conduct regular evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to students.
• Facilitate a safe and supportive clinical learning environment.
• Stay current with best practices in nursing education and patient care.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field
• Master’s degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of nursing experience, ideally in a clinical education role

Technical Skills

• Mentorship

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
