Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our vibrant team in Durban. In this role, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, providing excellent service to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with pharmacists to dispense medications effectively.
• Oversee the management of pharmaceutical supplies and inventory.
• Keep precise records of patient interactions and medication dispensation.
• Address patient questions and provide necessary information regarding medications.
• Assist in the training and supervision of junior pharmacy staff.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Pharmacy Technology
• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of practical experience in pharmacy

• Medication management

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with medication therapy management (MTM): Understanding of MTM processes and patient care.
