Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description

We are searching for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our innovative team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems and components, ensuring they meet industry standards and regulations. You will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure seamless project execution.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems and components according to specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments on electrical designs.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to meet project goals.
• Ensure all designs comply with health and safety regulations.
• Generate and review technical documentation for all design processes.
• Participate in site visits and inspections during installation and testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical design.
• Provide training and support to junior engineers and technicians.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for material sourcing.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional certifications in project management or design are an asset

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
