Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Building Service Worker to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Duties will include daily cleaning, waste management, and minor repairs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the facilities are clean and orderly within established time frames.
• Dispose of waste correctly and ensure that recyclables are managed properly.
• Conduct regular checks and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
• Support team members in various tasks as required.
• Document and report any repairs needed in a timely manner.
• Participate in training sessions to improve cleaning techniques and safety awareness.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or vocational training in facilities maintenance is a plus

Experience

• Experience in a similar role strongly recommended

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery

• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certification in Health and Safety: Formal training in health and safety regulations.
