Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Event Planner to coordinate and execute highly engaging events in Cape Town. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating memorable experiences. Your role will involve liaising with clients, managing budgets, and ensuring all elements of the event are executed flawlessly.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize creative event ideas that meet client objectives.
• Manage on-site logistics, ensuring everything runs smoothly during events.
• Coordinate with catering and entertainment providers to deliver exceptional experiences.
• Prepare and present event proposals to clients for approval.
• Monitor event budgets, analyzing expenses and generating status reports.
• Engage with clients pre- and post-event to solicit feedback and build rapport.
• Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts for future events.
• Implement eco-friendly practices in event planning where possible.
• Explore new venues and innovative event technologies to enhance offerings.
• Train and mentor junior staff as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred
• Certificates in wedding and event planning are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in event management with proven success
