Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will assist veterinarians in providing high-quality care to animals, ensuring their well-being and health. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of species, offering a dynamic and rewarding experience within the veterinary field.

Responsibilities

• Help with diagnosing animal ailments and conditions.
• Provide nursing care for hospitalized animals.
• Engage in public outreach and community health education.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform quality checks.
• Coordinate with external labs for additional testing when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage clinic scheduling and patient flow.
• Assist with the administration of anesthesia and monitoring.
• Compile reports on animal health trends and statistics.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Veterinary Nursing is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a veterinary clinic
