Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Social Worker to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to individuals and families in need, conducting assessments, and developing intervention plans. You will play a crucial role in promoting social change and improving the quality of life for our community members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and group counseling services.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments for new clients.
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans.
  • Conduct workshops and educational sessions for the community on relevant topics.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care for clients.
  • Advocate for clients' rights and access to resources.
  • Maintain documentation of client cases and program activities.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss case reviews and treatment plans.
  • Support clients in developing life skills and coping strategies.
  • Stay current with best practices in social work and community service.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
  • Master's degree is an asset
Experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in social work or related human services.
