Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker, specializing in machinery for the mining and construction sectors. The ideal candidate will maintain loading shovels and other heavy equipment to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance schedule of all heavy machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Support troubleshooting and diagnostics of equipment malfunctions.
  • Coordinate with vendors for parts and equipment replacement.
  • Assist with project planning and execution for maintenance tasks.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvement to maintenance processes.
  • Train and mentor junior maintenance staff.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate or equivalent
  • Technical qualification or diploma in mechanical maintenance is preferred.
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance
