Job Description

As a Furnace, Kiln, Oven, Drier, and Kettle Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the production processes in our manufacturing facility. You will monitor equipment conditions, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safe operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control the temperature of the shrink pit and related equipment.
• Perform necessary adjustments to process parameters.
• Document all operational changes and maintenance activities.
• Notify management of any discrepancies in operations.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Assist in training and mentoring of junior operators.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to meet product specifications.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate
• Technical qualification in engineering or similar field preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years' experience operating industrial heating equipment

Technical Skills

• Heavy Machinery Operation
• Preventive Maintenance

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Welding experience: Knowledge of welding processes is an asset for this role.
• Mechanical troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
