Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough risk assessments to minimize potential losses.
• Negotiate coverage terms with agents to secure favorable conditions.
• Provide guidance for underwriting initiatives to improve efficiencies.
• Assist in training junior underwriters and support team development.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding policies and coverage.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or related field
• Master's degree is an asset

Experience

• 3-6 years of experience in insurance underwriting

• Insurance Law
• Market Analysis

• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS)
• Insurance and Risk Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Proficiency in data analysis tools: Experience using Excel and data visualization tools for analysis.
