Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance applications and assess client risks.
• Determine terms and conditions of coverage based on company guidelines.
• Collaborate with agents and brokers to gather additional client information.
• Maintain accurate records of underwriting processes and decisions.
• Analyze data to identify trends and adjust risk assessment strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or related field
• Master's degree is an asset

Experience

• 3-6 years of experience in insurance underwriting

Technical Skills

• Insurance Law
• Market Analysis

• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS)
• Insurance and Risk Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
