Job Description

Join us as an Urban Planner where you will drive impactful planning initiatives in Bloemfontein. Collaborate with stakeholders to create urban development plans, balancing growth and ecological preservation.

Responsibilities

• Lead urban planning initiatives in collaboration with municipal authorities.
• Prepare and present project proposals to local councils and boards.
• Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives.
• Develop zoning bylaws and land use regulations.
• Advise stakeholders on design solutions that enhance functionality and aesthetic value.
• Facilitate public meetings and workshops to discuss planning initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or Environmental Studies
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of direct experience in urban planning or related field

Certifications

• Certified Urban Planner (CUP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sesotho: Intermediate
