We are on the lookout for a Mechanical Technician to support our engineering operations in Bloemfontein. Your responsibilities will include resolving mechanical problems, performing regular maintenance, and collaborating with other engineers to design and improve systems. Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with engineers to conduct modifications and improvements to existing systems.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues to improve operational efficiency.
• Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
• Provide support in technical projects as required.
• Participate in training programmes for staff and apprentices.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or similar role

Technical Skills

Certifications

• Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical Engineering

• Knowledge of CAD software: Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design software for mechanical design.
