Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Health and Safety Officer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies to ensure compliance with local and national regulations. You will play a key role in fostering a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of health and safety programs and policies.
• Carry out site inspections and risk assessments to ensure safety measures are in place.
• Educate employees about health and safety laws and regulations.
• Develop strategies for accident prevention and safety promotion.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate safety into daily operations.
• Review and update emergency response plans, ensuring effectiveness.
• Maintain awareness of industry changes affecting health and safety standards.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in health and safety roles

• Emergency Response Planning

Certifications

• First Aid and CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
