IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled IT Support Technician to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. You will be the first point of contact for resolving technical issues, ensuring our systems function smoothly, and supporting our end-users. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of software and hardware, along with excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests via help desk software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Assist with installations of new software and updates.
• Maintain an inventory of IT equipment.
• Train users on new technologies and software.
• Perform backups and recovery of data.
• Perform diagnostics to assess hardware and software health.
• Support users across multiple locations when required.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Information Technology or related field
• Bachelor's degree is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in IT support or similar role
