Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our team in Pretoria. In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing drug information to patients, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient medication therapy management reviews.
• Assist in the implementation of standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with prescribers on complex medication regimens.
• Ensure the safe storage and disposal of pharmaceuticals.
• Provide emergency care in the absence of immediate medical support.
• Oversee and ensure quality assurance practices within the pharmacy.
• Participate in budget management and financial forecasting.
• Facilitate training workshops for patient awareness and education.

Requirements

Education

• BPharm or equivalent qualification
• Hands-on pharmacy experience or internship is beneficial

Experience

• 2-4 years of pharmacy practice experience

Technical Skills

• Drug utilization review
• Inventory management

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
