Job Description

As a Civil Engineer in our Johannesburg office, you will take part in developing engineering solutions that address modern challenges in infrastructure and urban planning. You will work closely with architects, urban planners, and contractors, ensuring that designs are practical and sustainable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and project kickoff meetings.
• Facilitate communication between clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify project hazards and propose mitigations.
• Develop engineering plans using CAD software.
• Assist with permits and compliance with local regulations.
• Ensure environmental sustainability practices are integrated into project plans.
• Stay updated with industry trends and technology advancements.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Ensure effective project documentation and reporting.
• Foster innovation within the engineering team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Masters degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering projects
