Construction Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Construction Manager to lead our projects in Johannesburg. You will be tasked with managing day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring quality control, and maintaining project documentation. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, familiarity with construction software, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning sessions and set clear objectives.
• Evaluate risks and eliminate obstacles to maintain project timelines.
• Assess and select subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and national regulations.
• Document project progress and prepare reports for management.
• Facilitate effective communication among all team members.
• Conduct site evaluations and prepare site reports.
• Establish and maintain project budgets to ensure financial accountability.
• Promote a culture of safety and efficiency on-site.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Project Management
• A related Master's degree will be considered an asset

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in the construction industry with supervisory roles
