Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and test mechanical systems.
• Conduct analyses to ensure design measures up to expected requirements.
• Prepare and present technical reports to stakeholders.
• Work on continuous improvement initiatives across engineering projects.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Engage in research and development to innovate new practices.
• Participate in quality control audits and corrective actions.

Requirements

Education

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
• Chartered Engineer status is preferable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering projects

Technical Skills

• ANSYS
• Project Management

Soft Skills

• Critical thinking
• Leadership

Certifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt
• Lean Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in renewable energy systems: Exposure to sustainable energy solutions and design.
