Freight Router

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Freight Router who will oversee the planning and management of the movement of freight. You will work with a network of suppliers and customers to ensure compliance with regulations and to streamline operations, ensuring that all shipments are executed seamlessly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning and scheduling of transportation routes.
• Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and customers to coordinate shipments.
• Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for tracking and managing shipments.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documentation and customs declarations.
• Monitor and analyze delivery performance metrics.
• Negotiate rates with carriers to obtain the best service and pricing.
• Maintain detailed records of all logistics transactions.
• Conduct regular assessments of logistics processes for improvements.
• Implement new processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in logistics or freight forwarding

• Microsoft Office Suite
