Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Social Worker to join our team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will provide much-needed support to families and individuals facing various challenges, from mental health to family dynamics. Your expertise will help in facilitating access to resources and developing personalized intervention plans.

Responsibilities

• Identify resources and services beneficial to clients.
• Foster positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Implement outreach programs for community education.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to address complex cases.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to program development.
• Provide guidance to interns and junior staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications are highly advantageous

Experience

• At least 3-5 years of direct client experience in social work

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

• Knowledge of addiction counseling: Relevant training or certification in addiction counseling and support.
