Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Veterinarian to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to a diverse range of animal patients, collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional veterinary services and patient care to a high standard.
• Provide emergency care as required, including stabilization of critical cases.
• Educate pet owners about post-treatment care and pet wellness.
• Assist in training veterinary interns and new staff members.
• Ensure compliance with all veterinary laws and ethical standards.
• Facilitate community outreach programs to promote animal health awareness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent
• Postgraduate studies in animal behaviour or surgery are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a veterinary clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Animal Behaviour Analysis
• Preventative Medicine

Certifications

• Certified Animal Behaviour Consultant
• Fear Free Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Intermediate
