Job Description

We are seeking a General Practitioner to join our healthcare team in Durban. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. A commitment to high-quality service and patient satisfaction is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality healthcare in a community setting.
• Conduct physical exams and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions.
• Involve patients in their care decisions.
• Participate in organizational meetings and training sessions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical qualification
• Specialist training in Family Medicine is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in primary care

Certifications

• Fellowship in Family Medicine (FMF)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans.
• Knowledge of local healthcare regulations: Understanding of the health laws and regulations in South Africa.
