Responsibilities

• Perform medical examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Oversee patient treatment plans and adjust as necessary.
• Facilitate patient follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.
• Engage in community health initiatives and outreach programs.
• Respond to medical emergencies as required.
• Educate patients about prescribed medications and treatments.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic office environment.
• Participate in regular team meetings and collaborative discussions.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Specialization in Family Medicine is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in primary care or similar roles

Certifications

• Registration with the HPCSA
• Basic Pediatric Life Support Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

• Bilingual capabilities: Fluency in English and an additional language, enhancing patient communication.
