Job Description

We are seeking compassionate Home Health Aides to provide personal care and support to our clients in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will assist patients with daily living activities, ensure their safety, and promote their well-being.

Responsibilities

• Help clients achieve their personal care goals through dedicated support.
• Assist healthcare professionals in implementing care plans.
• Engage and motivate clients in daily activities to promote well-being.
• Provide respite for family members by caring for clients.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and client progress.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss client needs and improve care.
• Follow health and safety protocols to ensure client safety.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• Home Health Aide certification preferred

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience as a caregiver or in a healthcare setting

Technical Skills

• Personal Care Skills
• First Aid and CPR

Soft Skills

• Problem-Solving
• Patience

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Knowledge of nutritional needs: Understanding dietary requirements for various health conditions.
• Experience with mobility assistance: Ability to assist clients with mobility issues and transferring.
