Become a part of our dedicated healthcare team in Pietermaritzburg as a General Practitioner, focusing on patient care, formulating treatment plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-standard medical services.

Responsibilities

• Perform well-rounded patient examinations, focusing on preventative care.
• Manage the treatment of chronic illnesses and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Actively participate in departmental meetings and health initiatives.
• Educate patients about managing health conditions and lifestyle changes.
• Establish referrals to other healthcare providers as necessary.
• Document patient interactions thoroughly and accurately.
• Lead health workshops or seminars for community members.
• Consult with other medical professionals regarding complex cases.
• Ensure compliance with all state and national health regulations.
• Build rapport and trust with patients through compassionate care.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent degree in Medicine
• Postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine or related field is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a General Practitioner in a clinical setting
