Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding the organization’s digital assets and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will work closely with IT teams to proactively identify vulnerabilities and implement effective security measures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support security solutions including firewalls and encryption.
• Engage in risk assessments and maintain an understanding of compliance requirements.
• Assist in the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Work closely with other departments to integrate security best practices.
• Conduct research on emerging threats and devise proactive measures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity and risk management

• CISM

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like PCI DSS: Knowledge of compliance standards relevant to cybersecurity.
