Job Description

We are looking for a motivated IT Support Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing technical support to users, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot desktop, laptop, and mobile device issues.
• Assist in setting up new IT equipment for employees.
• Provide detailed documentation for common issues and solutions.
• Monitor system performance and support preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with vendors for hardware and software support.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in IT Support or relevant qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in IT support roles

Technical Skills

• Linux Operating Systems

Certifications

• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Experience with Virtual Private Networks (VPNs): Knowledge of configuring and managing VPN connections.
• Understanding of IT security practices: Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices.
