Cloud Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to help transform our cloud strategy in Cape Town. You will play a critical role in deploying high-performance cloud solutions and collaborating with other teams to drive technological advancement in our projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based solutions using AWS and Azure.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize deployment processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Ensure security best practices are followed in cloud environments.
• Implement automation scripts for cloud resource management.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of cloud applications.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and provide consultancy.
• Assist in the migration of local applications to cloud infrastructure.
• Document cloud architecture and operational procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related fields
