Dinkey Locomotive Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Dinkey Locomotive Engineer to operate and maintain our Dinkey Locomotive. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to safety standards while performing regular inspections and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate locomotives and trains safely and efficiently to transport goods and people.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of locomotives and trains.
• Communicate with dispatchers and other train crews to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of train movements, delays, and incidents.
• Follow train schedules and routes as instructed.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws regarding railway operations.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license

Experience

• 5 years experience in the railway or transportation sector.

Technical Skills

• Technical documentation interpretation
• Heavy machinery operation

Soft Skills

• Organizational skills
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Dinkey Locomotives: Hands-on experience operating and maintaining Dinkey Locomotives.
