Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical systems, strong analytical skills, and a passion for innovative solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for a variety of projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical drawings and schematics for projects.
• Evaluate and recommend electrical equipment and materials.
• Coordinate with project management to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and provide solutions to complex engineering problems.
• Monitor project budgets and timelines, adjusting plans as necessary.
• Ensure project compliance with local and national electrical codes.
• Conduct risk assessments for electrical installations.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice.
• Train staff on new systems and methodologies.
• Mentor junior engineers in best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in the electrical engineering field with a focus on renewable energy projects

Technical Skills

• Power Systems Analysis
