Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated veterinarian to provide excellent care for our animal patients in Port Elizabeth. You will be tasked with performing examinations, diagnosing medical conditions, and developing treatment plans. Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgeries.
• Manage patient care before and after surgical procedures.
• Provide emergency care as needed.
• Oversee the training and supervision of new staff.
• Evaluate and manage animal behaviour issues.
• Foster strong relationships with pet owners and their animals.
• Manage inventory and order medical supplies as needed.
• Promote preventative healthcare and wellness programs.
• Participate in clinic marketing activities.
• Conduct follow-up consultations to ensure patient health.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or equivalent

Experience

• At least 5 years of clinical experience preferred

Certifications

• Veterinary Technician Certification
• Advanced Animal Care Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Proficiency in use of diagnostic equipment: Experience with ultrasound and radiology for diagnostic purposes.
