Pharmacist

Job Description

Join our team as a Pharmacist where you'll utilize your knowledge to assist patients in managing their medications. You will engage with healthcare professionals and contribute to our goal of enhancing the community’s health through quality pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities

• Verify and interpret physician orders for accuracy before dispensing medications.
• Guide patients on the proper use of medications and potential side effects.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial pharmacy laws.
• Implement strategies for medication management and reconciliation.
• Monitor health trends and provide feedback to the pharmacy manager.
• Contribute to developing pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Assist in creating health education materials for community outreach.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
• Master's degree in Pharmacy or related field is a bonus

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in community pharmacy practice

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Fluent

• Proficiency in health information technology: Experience with pharmacy management systems is advantageous.
