Software Tester / QA Engineer

Job Description

As Software Tester / QA Engineer, you will be integral in our mission to deliver top-notch software solutions. Based in Cape Town, you will develop and execute test plans and cases, identify bugs, and work directly with developers to address any issues.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans and test cases for new software releases.
• Identify, document, and track defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and fix issues.
• Review requirements and specifications to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
• Conduct performance testing to ensure application reliability and scalability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve quality processes.
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Keep abreast of the latest industry trends in software quality assurance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing

Technical Skills

• Manual Testing
• Automation Testing (Selenium)

Soft Skills

Certifications

• ISTQB Certified Tester

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter: Knowledge of performance testing to assess application speed and scalability.
