We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in mechanical design, system analysis, and innovation in engineering practices. You will contribute to various projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design process from concept to implementation.
• Support project management through effective resource and time planning.
• Engage in research to identify new opportunities and technologies in mechanical engineering.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate them.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the engineering process.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Engineering or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Prototyping

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to work with 3D Printing Technology: Experience in additive manufacturing and 3D design.
• Familiarity with GIS and Geospatial Applications: Knowledge of geospatial data in engineering projects.
