We are seeking an enthusiastic Online Tutor who is passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals. In this role, you will provide one-on-one tutoring in various subjects, helping learners develop their skills and confidence.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate online tutoring sessions that help students overcome academic challenges.
• Help students set achievable academic goals and guide them towards achieving them.
• Offer support in homework and project preparation.
• Maintain a positive and supportive virtual classroom environment.
• Stay informed about curriculum changes and educational best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Masters in Education is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in tutoring or teaching

Technical Skills

• Assessment Tools
• Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Soft Skills

• Motivational Skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Child Development Associate (CDA)
• First Aid and CPR certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with online content creation: Ability to develop engaging online materials and resources.
• Knowledge of South African curriculum: Familiar with the educational standards and practices in South Africa.
