Interior Designer

We are on the hunt for a talented Interior Designer to join our creative team in Durban. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential properties to commercial spaces. Your creativity and eye for design will help us create innovative interiors that reflect our clients’ visions. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating their ability to conceptualize and realize designs, collaborate with clients, and manage project timelines effectively.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to gather requirements and preferences.
• Sketch and present design concepts for client review.
• Coordinate with architects and contractors to ensure design feasibility.
• Implement design revisions based on client and team feedback.
• Utilize design software to create visual presentations.
• Monitor project budgets and make adjustments as needed.
• Ensure effective communication between team members and clients.
• Assist in mentoring junior design staff and interns.
• Organize and manage design resources and samples.
• Help in setting up and coordinating design-related events.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture or related field
• Membership in a professional design organization is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in commercial and residential design

Technical Skills

• Revit
• 3D Rendering

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Negotiation skills

Certifications

• Certified Interior Designer (CID)
• Green Building Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous
