Job Description

As a Signaler, you will be at the forefront of railway operations, coordinating train movements to ensure safety and efficiency. You will communicate crucial signals to train drivers, monitor track conditions, and collaborate with dispatchers to optimize schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain signaling systems to ensure safe train operations.
• Communicate effectively with other railway personnel to coordinate train movements.
• Conduct regular inspections of signaling equipment and systems.
• Assist in training new signalers and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Develop and implement protocols for efficient signal operations.
• Utilize radio communication equipment for operational coordination.
• Maintain accurate records of signaling operations and communications.
• Participate in safety drills and emergency response training.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of technological advancements.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant signaling qualifications or training

Experience

• Experience in train dispatching or control center operations is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Experience with signaling software systems
• Networked signal control systems

Soft Skills

• Ability to work under pressure
• Teamwork and collaboration

Certifications

• Additional signaling certifications are a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to work shifts and weekends: Flexibility to work outside standard hours as required.
• Experience with maintenance of signaling equipment: Hands-on skills in troubleshooting and fixing signaling systems.
