Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chemistry Lab Technician to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting laboratory experiments, maintaining lab equipment, and assisting in educational programs related to chemistry. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemistry or a related field and a passion for science education.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and chemicals for experiments.
• Lightly supervise students during laboratory sessions.
• Assist in training new staff or lab assistants.
• Maintain detailed records of laboratory activities and experiments.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance the educational experience.
• Monitor equipment performance and report issues promptly.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in educational laboratory settings
