Health and Safety Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Officer to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with health regulations and promoting a safe working environment within our healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and update health and safety systems as necessary.
• Act as the point of contact for health and safety concerns.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures.
• Ensure proper reporting of incidents and health issues.
• Promote awareness of health and safety issues among staff.
• Recommend improvements to health and safety procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Health Sciences or a related field
• Post-graduate qualifications in Health and Safety are an advantage

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a health and safety role, healthcare preferred
