Environmental Consultant

Job Description

As an Environmental Consultant, you will play a vital role in advising businesses on sustainability practices, regulatory compliance, and environmental impact assessments. You will collaborate with teams to develop strategies that promote environmental stewardship and compliance with South African laws.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented sustainability initiatives.
• Prepare and present findings to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
• Guide clients through the environmental impact assessment process.
• Participate in workshops and forums to promote sustainable practices.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bids related to environmental consulting services.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Science, or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or management

Technical Skills

• Sustainability Practices

• Project Management

Certifications

• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certification
• Certified Environmental Manager (CEM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Familiarity with carbon offset projects: Experience in assessing and developing carbon offset initiatives.
