Job Description

As an Underwater Welder, you'll be tackling the exciting challenge of welding and repairing various structures underwater using advanced equipment and techniques. This role requires exceptional skills in underwater welding, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in challenging conditions.

Responsibilities

• Execute underwater welding operations on marine structures such as ships and oil rigs.
• Ensure all safety measures are followed during underwater tasks.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely project completion.
• Prepare surface areas before welding and monitor conditions during the process.
• Continuously assess equipment performance and report any issues.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and safety updates.

Requirements

Education

• Technical certification in welding or related field
• Additional underwater welding certifications are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of underwater welding experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Underwater inspection techniques
• Robotic welding systems

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Knowledge of robotic or automated underwater welding systems: Experience in robotic welding technologies preferred.
